The Bighorn Grill is closed for business permanently, effective Monday, January 12, 2009. The lengthy and severe economic recession, in which we all are mired, resulted in drastically reduced sales for us in 2008. This, coupled with an unsympathetic landlord, who even raised our occupancy cost in 2008, has forced us to close. 

To our loyal and faithful public, please accept our gratitude for your patronage and our apology for leaving you like this. We have been privileged to serve you and San Ramon for 12 years.

To our loyal staff, I acknowledge and applaud you. Many of you have been with me for years, some since Day 1 or very near to it. Thank you for making the Bighorn Grill the wonderful restaurant it was. I’m sorry we cannot continue. Unfortunately, I have no choice.

We have arranged with the ownership of Girasole Grill in Pleasanton, to honor Bighorn gift certificates. Girasole Grill is 15 minutes away in Pleasanton at 3180 Santa Rita Rd., at the corner of West Las Positas, one mile south on Santa Rita from the Santa Rita Exit off Highway 580.
